We are in one of those great historical periods that occur every 200 to 300 years when people no longer fully understand the world anymore, and knowledge of the past is not sufficient to explain the future".
Em 2006, Otto Scharmer, em seu livro, "THEORY U: Leading from the Emerging Future Presencing as a Social Technology of Freedom", disse: "In working with leadership teams across sectors and industries, I realized that leaders could not meet their existing challenges by operating only on the basis of past experiences. I wondered whether there could be a deeper learning cycle based on one’s sensing of an emerging future, rather than on one’s past experiences".
